The nose is the centre of our facial oval, and as such has an enormous weight in our appearance and attractiveness. A beautiful, symmetrical and proportionate nose with the rest of the face is a fundamental beauty factor that will give us great security and confidence.

Fortunately, in recent years, surgical techniques that aim to reshape the nose have become very effective and safe. Rhinoplasty is the facial surgery that allows us to modify the appearance of our nose, achieving harmonious and natural results.

What is rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a type of facial surgery that harmonize our face by modifying the size and shape of our nose. This surgical intervention has a double purpose, since we not only improve the aesthetics of our nose, but we can also improve our breathing function.

Rhinoplasty is also known as "rhinoseptoplasty" and is one of the most demanded surgeries in our centre. This is due to the fact that it achieves fast and satisfactory results in the shape of our nose, with a low risk for the patient's health.

Before performing any type of intervention on our nose, it is important to carry out a previous study. We carried out a medical analysis in order to detect possible pathologies that make us unsuitable for the surgery. Measurements are also taken on the facial oval and the nose to determine what type of intervention to carry out.

Aesthetic purposes of rhinoplasty

In our clinic, we adapt to all kinds of nose shapes, helping you to achieve the result you want. Within the rhinoplasty, we can distinguish three fundamental aesthetic purposes. The main goals of rhinoplasty are to achieve a straight nasal dorsum, a fine and defined tip and to narrow both parts of the nose.

Achieving a straight nasal dorsum

In order to achieve a straighter nasal dorsum, it is best to eliminate the hump. This will visibly reduce the size of your nose. Another equally effective way is to increase the projection of the nasal tip and root region.

To determine which method is the most effective, a previous study of the patient's face is necessary. Even so, most rhinoplasty procedures performed in our clinic are dorsal reduction.

Fine and defined tip

No doubt about it, a fine and defined tip is a sign of attractiveness in our nose. This is a very common procedure that was previously performed with a closed technique, without external scars.

Today, rhinoplasty has been proven to be the most effective treatment to achieve a fine and defined tip. This is due to the greater efficiency that this technique offers to work on the cartilages of the nasal tip.

Narrowing of the dorsum and nasal tip

The third objective we usually have when we perform a rhinoplasty is to narrow both parts of the nose, both the dorsum and nasal tip. For this procedure it is essential to perform a good previous study because the results should not be exaggerated and artificial.

The most important thing is to visit the clinic having an idea of what are your desires and expectations regarding the rhinoplasty surgery.  At Sculpture Clinic we are committed to organic and natural results, so we will always recommend the best option for your nose, seeking harmony in your face.

How is rhinoplasty performed in Madrid Spain?

The first day you will have to wear drip pads to collect the blood and it will not be possible to breathe through your nose.

  • Infection.
  • Hemorrhage.
  • Reacciones adversas a la anestesia.
  • Asimetría.
  • Alteraciones en la sensibilidad.
  • Dificultad respiratoria.
  • Insatisfacción con los resultados estéticos.
  • Necesidad de cirugía secundaria.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The estimate cost of rhinoplasty starts at 7000 €. The price may vary depending on several factors. For example, a primary surgery is cheaper than a revision surgery. It is also influenced by the complexity of the case and the purpose of the operation.

The surgeon's experience is also factored when calculating the price of a rhinoplasty in Madrid Spain. If you want a quality result, contact us and ask for individual consultation.

The best rhinoplasty surgeon in Madrid Spain is Dr. Miguel Fernández Calderón. The specialist has years of experience in facial surgery, including rhinoplasty.

Miguel Fernández Calderón is a detailed and precise surgeon. Before the intervention, a study of the patient will be made to determine how the procedure will be performed. In addition, he will evaluate your features to achieve natural results.

Dr. Miguel Fernández Calderón is a member of the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE).

The preliminary study of the face before performing a rhinoplasty includes evaluating the shape and size of the facial oval and the nose. This assessment will determine whether it is possible to make the changes that the patient desires, and what can be done to achieve a natural result.

Nasal breathing will also be checked, since this surgery corrects both functional and aesthetic problems.

Pre-assessment is critical to the success of the surgery.

The basis for achieving a proportionate and harmonious face with a rhinoplasty is the previous study. This will determine whether the operation is feasible. After the rhinoplasty, the patient will remain in the clinic one day, during which it will be controlled that there are no problems.

Then, the surgeon will follow up postoperatively to make sure that the results go according to plan. The surgeon will also give the patient instructions for care during recovery.

Whether we are going to modify only the nasal tip or the rest of the nose, anaesthesia is applied at the beginning of the intervention. The only difference is whether the anaesthesia is general or local. In any case, the procedure is completely painless for the patient.

Undoubtedly, suffering changes in the general appearance of our face is one of the most common concerns that all patients have when they come to the clinic. The conclusion is that if a good previous study of the shape of our face is carried out, it should not change at all.

The objective is to adapt to the previous shape of the face so that we modify the nose to look as natural as possible, as if it were our lifelong nose. The important thing is that the patient is as comfortable as possible with their new look.

This is achieved when the face looks both harmonious and proportionate.. At Sculpture Clinic we perform a study of your facial oval to make the right decisions at all times.

The results of a rhinoplasty in Madrid Spain are, at present, tremendously organic and natural. We just have to be sure that we work with the best professionals, who will be responsible for giving us the best diagnosis, always with honesty and transparency.

At the end of the rhinoplasty, the patient will be fitted with nose plugs, which must be worn for the first 2 days. During the first week, you will have to wear a nasal splint, until the haematomas produced by the intervention disappear.

During this first week, a relative rest is also necessary.. After this time we can resume our social and work activities as normal. In any case, we should avoid intense physical exercise, at least during the first month.
