What is hybrid breast augmentation?

A hybrid breast augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that combines the placement of breast implants with autologous fat transfer. Its goal is to improve the shape and size of the breasts giving it a more natural appearance.

Advantages of hybrid breast augmentation

• More aesthetic results. It allows the contour of the breasts to be improved in a more natural and harmonious way, by placing the fat around the implants.
• It allows to have larger breasts, without the need to use very large implants.
• Less chance of wrinkling or rippling of the breasts after surgery.
• It corrects asymmetries and allows concealing the edges and folds that can make it evident that the breasts have been operated on.
• It improves body contouring in the areas from which fat is extracted.

Hybrid breast augmentation process

The procedure begins with a liposuction to remove fat from areas such as the abdomen, flanks, thighs, etc. The aspirated fat goes through a purification process before being transferred to the breasts. A technique known as "modified dual plane" is used to place the implant. Once the prosthesis is placed in the pocket, the fat is injected to mold the breasts.

Postoperative Recovery: What to Expect

After a hybrid breast augmentation, patients usually go home after a few hours in the recovery room. It is normal to feel pain for the first few days, as well as swelling, and the doctor will prescribe medication.

No strenuous physical activity. You have to sleep on your back for the first four weeks and can return to work one week later.

¿Cómo se Realiza la Mastopexia con Prótesis?

Tipos de incisiones utilizadas

De acuerdo al tipo de incisión se determina el tipo de cicatriz que resulta de la cirugía.

Cicatriz alrededor de la areola. Resulta de la mastopexia periareolar. Indicada para pacientes con flacidez moderada.

1. Cicatriz vertical. Es por la mastopexia en forma de “I”, que rodea la areola, pero baja en forma vertical hasta el centro del seno. Se recomienda para mejorar la forma, el escote y corregir la flacidez.
2. Cicatriz en forma de ancla o T invertida. Resulta de la mastopexia en L o en T. Sus cicatrices son más visibles, puesto que se hace un corte vertical y luego otro que se extiende de forma horizontal en la base del seno. Es para pacientes con flacidez extrema.

Selección de Prótesis

Elegir la prótesis adecuada es un trabajo en conjunto entre el paciente y el cirujano. De acuerdo a la proyección del pechos los implantes pueden ser de perfil alto, bajo o moderado. Según la forma, pueden ser redondas, anatómicas y ergonómicas. Por último, pueden estar rellenos de suero fisiológico o de gel cohesionado de silicona.
